Fishing charters

The coastal waters off Lyme Regis are a renowned fishing destination with plenty of species gracing Lyme Bay. Anglers are often amazed at how quickly we can be at a good fishing mark after leaving the harbour!

We pride ourselves on delivering the best of sea angling. If you are a family group, a group of friends or a team of work colleagues, our fishing charters are perfect for you. Whether you're a complete novice or expert angler, we have trips designed for you.

Blue Turtle Charters offers you the opportunity to get out on the water with a range of trips targeting an array of species depending on the time of year.  We operate 4 and 8 hour scheduled fishing trips where you'll join others onboard or you can also book any of our scheduled trips as a private charter for your exclusive use. You can also contact us to arrange a bespoke private charter with a fishing trip designed around your requirements.

We run scheduled 4 hour fishing trips on Sunday morning's from 8am until midday and on Friday's from 9am until 1pm. Price £50 per adult, £35 for children. Capacity 8. Book online

We run scheduled 8 hour fishing trips on Tuesday morning's 9am until 1pm. Price £70 per person. Book online

Blue Turtle is a modern, comfortable and well equipped boat with all the best navigational and fish finding equipment and good deck space for fishing.

Rods, tackle and bait are provided or you are very welcome to bring your own gear.

Rob, your skipper is a keen angler as well as working on one of the local fishing boats. At certain times of year he can be found commercially fishing.

For those new to fishing, our skipper will guide you through your first steps, so that soon enough you’re experiencing the thrill of sea fishing.

Depending on the time of year different species are able to be caught, with trips running all year round. Bass, Cod, Pollack and Pout are the main species taken drifting the wrecks. Bream, Whiting, Dogfish, Gurnard, Conger, Ray and Plaice are the main species taken at anchor. Mackerel come into the bay in huge numbers over the summer months. Other species that are around include Squid, Herring, Red Mullet, John Dory and Turbot.
